REDDITCH had its own version of the Cannonball Run on Monday but with a twist.
Instead, it was more a case of the Canon Salt Run as Canon David Salt of St Stephen's Church rev-ed up his motorbike and transported a time capsule to St Leonard's Church in Beoley.
The event was part of a Mothers' Union 125th anniversary celebration in which the capsule is being transported around the country.
Before Canon Salt got on his bike, the aims and objectives of the Mothers' Union were read aloud by former Arrow Vale High School headteacher Ralph Richardson and leaflets and balloons were given out.
Canon Salt is a lifelong motorbike enthusiast and owns two himself.
At St Leonards', Canon Salt and the capsule were met by the Rev David Rogers and a short service of celebration followed along with a picnic.
