GREAT Alne had to settle for a share of the points after finding themselves on the receiving end of a run blitz at home to fellow Cotswold Two strugglers Catherine de Barnes.
Skipper Craig Millard was able to include Dave Coll and Tom Jones in his side after the pair missed the previous week's defeat against Wellesbourne Seconds.
And both Coll and Jones were among the runs, together with Robbie Matthews, as Great Alne posted 143.
A win looked on the cards with the visitors, always behind the run rate, needing 20 off the final 12 balls.
Some big hits took them level before the last man skied an effort to backward square man.
Millard now hopes his players can build on that display for the crucial visit to basement side Hockley Heath on Saturday.
The captain said: "We beat them at home at the start of the season and will be looking for a repeat performance.
"Another three wins would see us safe and we have to play two of the other bottom sides at our place."
Millard will be able to choose from a near full-strength side for Saturday's game, youngster Danny Woodward the only absentee.
