IF J Wood is claiming that the use of artificial earths is for keeping foxes away from poultry farms and lambing fields, (You Say, June 22) then surely these foxes are not causing a problem.
And how can he explain the feeding of foxes in these earths - which has been captured on film?
Artificial earths have also been found in fields next to sheep. Photographic evidence is available from the League Against Cruel Sports.
The bloodsports brigade know - just as much as we do - that the widespread practice of encouraging foxes to breed takes place to fuel their vile and vicious sport.
As for Peter Luff claiming that a minority wants to see hunting banned, he has not then obviously updated himself with a recent MORI poll that shows 66 per cent in favour of total ban.
