ALCESTER'S annual Street Market on June 17 was a great success for the club, winning first prize for best stall.
The Roman theme included a mural of Hadrian's Wall and one member dressed as a senator.
All the plants were donated and almost all were sold by 4pm. Thanks to everyone who helped build the stall and sell the plants.
Two members, Hilary Morgan and Pauline Sands, appeared on BBC2's Gardeners' World on Friday, June 15.
They were part of the group of seven gardeners chosen to appear with such personalities as Alan Titchmarsh, Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh.
The garden they helped to create, designed by TV presenter Chris Beardshaw, won best in show at the NEC.
There are still a few tickets left (£14) for the coach trip to Geoff Hamilton's garden at Barnsdale on Sunday, July 22.
