MUSIC for a summer's evening is set to raise cash for a charity launched in the honour of a Rednal youngster who died after contracting a deadly bug.
Longbridge Methodist Church is hosting the concert in aid of the Heather Preen Trust next Saturday July14.
The eight-year-old died almost two years ago after contracting a fatal strain of E.coli during a family holiday in Devon.
Her mum, Julie, set up the trust to raise awareness and generate research into the bug which snatched Heather's life.
Music For a Summer's Evening will boast sounds from star singer Maighread Hegarty, Barnt Green Orchestra, Holywell School Choir and Longbridge Church Choir.
Tickets for the event, set to be held at the church, in Bristol Road South, cost £3 or £2.50 concessions.
Birmingham-based Queen Elizabeth Hospital's west ward is also set to benefit from proceeds.
Get your tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, from 0121 453 7294.
