COOKLEY missed the chance to go second in Worcestershire League Division Two, losing to Eastnor by just one wicket.
The villagers began well but collapsed from 97-2 to 137-8 with Paul Harris hitting 64 runs.
Excellent bowling from Shahid 7-53 sparked the wicket feast but a plucky 31 from Stu Nicholls ensured a reasonable total of 178.
Eastnor were soon in trouble at 30-5 but gradually got within sight of the total.
The last pair added 28 to win but Adam Sellick (5-67) and Gary Mills (4-61) had earlier recorded fine hauls.

A weakened Cookley 2nds returned early after being skittled out for 69.
They lost to struggling home side Eastnor by nine wickets.
