TWO pensioners were the victims of bogus workmen after a "despicable" burglary at their home.
The elderly couple were duped into letting two workmen, who claimed roof repairs were needed, into their Coniston Close house.
The men demanded £280 for the work but left after completing just a few repairs.
Several hours later a third man called at their home claiming to be from a company called "Everest".
He began to check the roof saying more work was needed but the couple refused.
He left taking one of the pensioner's wallets.
A West Mercia Constabulary spokesman said: "These types of offences are despicable.
"They target the more vulnerable members of our community.
"We need the public's help to stop these men from targeting other people and conning them out of hundreds of pounds."
The first two men arrived in a white transit van with the words "Central Building Contracts" written on the side.
The first man was aged 18 to 20, with short messy hair. He was wearing a light blue T-shirt, jeans and navy trainers.
The second offender was aged 25 and 5ft 9in tall. He was wearing a lemon and white shirt and black jeans.
A man in his early 20s is the description of the third offender who was wearing a navy T-shirt and dark trousers. All three men were white.
Anyone with information about the incident last Friday, June 22, should call Bromsgrove CID on (01527) 584888.
