THIRD Division Kidderminster Harriers have been dealt a blow with the shock departure of midfielder Neil Mackenzie to Blackpool.
The 25-year-old former Stoke City player had verbally agreed a one-year contract with Harriers boss, Jan Molby, but signed for the Tangerines last night.
Harriers chairman, Lionel Newton, described the player's behaviour as a sad indictment of the modern game.
"We had given him another opportunity to prove himself because to be quite honest he didn't last season, but if there is no loyalty on his part we don't want him anyway."
MacKenzie's move rounds off a disappointing week for Harriers, with Steve Jones signing for Cheltenham after initially agreeing to go to Aggborough.
