GILT Edge Bowling Club ace Grant Burgess helped England to wins over Wales and Channel Islands in the Home International Bowls Series in Belfast.
The Kidderminster man has been instrumental, lining up as number three to English champion of champions Danny Denison, alongside Greg Moon and Dean Morgan.
England were due to play a deciding match against Ireland, who had also won both their games, yesterday afternoon.
Speaking from Ireland, Burgess said: "I've played 18 times with Danny now and won 15 of those. It's a really good record and we want to keep it going.
"I've been playing well though I didn't think I had such a good game against the Channel Islands."
Burgess, 41, has played more than 40 times for England and is targeting a place in the National Championships at Worthing in late August.
He needs to make the finals in his county events to achieve that but he admits his season has been great so far.
Burgess added: "I'm still in all four of the county competitions.
"I've reached the last 16 in the pairs and the quarter-finals stage in the singles, triples and fours. I like to go into every game with a confident attitude."
