TENNIS: Stourport A dropped their first point of the season in Kidderminster League Mixed Division One when they drew 2-2 at Hagley.
The pairing of Derek Tarpey and Carole Lewis were beaten for the first time but Kevin Grainger and Hilary Hatt restored the status quo by winning both their matches.
In Division Two, Stourport B won 3-1, also at Hagley.
Roger Houldsworth and Isobel Moore won both their matches, while Ralph Round and Rosie Williams won one in three sets.
In the Herefordshire and Worcestershire League, the Men's C team's promotion hopes received a setback when they ended the night 3-2 down at Worcester.
One match was unfinished when the lights went out at 10pm.
Graham Ashmore and Nick Mantle won one match, while newcomer Robert Hughes made an encouraging debut for the club.
David Read won one in his first appearance of the season after injury problems.
The second match remained unfinished after more than two hours of play with Worcester leading 5-4 in the third set.
Hughes and Read may have to go back to Worcester to settle the match if promotion beckons.
