A VANDAL caused £1,500 damage and cost a Stourport charity shop a day's trade by kicking in the window at the weekend.
Police arrived at the British Red Cross shop in High Street at 12.45am on Saturday to find the eight foot window had been smashed, spreading glass through the shop and ruining £500 of clothing.
The shop was shut on Saturday, losing an estimated £500 in trade, while the £1,000 window was replaced.
Twelve volunteers worked through the weekend to make sure the shop was re-opened on Monday.
A man arrested in connection with the incident appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates on Monday and has been bailed until August 1.
