A KIDDERMINSTER man has been responding well to a course designed to help wean him off drugs, Worcester Crown Court heard.
Neil Soley was ordered last month to undergo a drug treatment and testing order after pleading guilty to possessing heroin and driving dangerously, while disqualified and without insurance.
Soley, 36, of The Foxholes, Kidderminster, was said to have 21 previous court appearances.
He was said to have ridden his motorcycle at 85mph between Stourport and Kidderminster, sometimes on the wrong side of the road.
He had never held a driving licence.
Probation officer David Skelton said that Soley was required to report twice weekly to the Community Drugs Team in Kidderminster. Although not completely free of drugs, he had shown the motivation to rid himself of the habit.
The drawback was that there was a culture of drug abuse in his domestic situation. The relationship with his partner was not helpful, the court was told.
Judge John Cavell ordered another review in a month's time to check how Soley was progressing.
