ON June 28 I and several of my neighbours in Marlpool Gardens, Kidderminster, put out items for collection by the Cancer Research Shop, Worcester Street, Kidderm-inster.
A dark blue car (possibly a Ford) driven by a middle-aged man, approximately 5ft 7ins tall and wearing glasses, collected the items at about 9.30am.
Thinking it strange that a charity shop would collect by car I rang the shop and subsequently found out the car was not connected with that charity. The items had obviously been stolen.
My advice to readers is not to put out any items for collection by charity shops. If you wish to donate, take the goods directly to the shop.
What sort of person would steal from a cancer charity? A selfish car-booter perhaps?
I doubt if this man, his family or friends, have ever suffered from this most dreadful disease.
