PEOPLE with an hour or two to spare have been urged to lend a hand and help boost a charity's bid to improve bus services for the elderly.
The Women's Royal Voluntary Service has launched a county-wide scheme to provide help for elderly bus users and needs volunteers to help on several district travel services.
Wyre Forest WRVS spokeswoman Alison Cross said: "We hope to recruit a small team of volunteers to provide assistance, which would enable this service one morning or afternoon per week.
"One volunteer may spend just an hour travelling on one bus service helping passengers who request aid with shopping or boarding the bus."
Anyone who can help can contact Mrs Cross on 07740 404084 or visit the WRVS Day Centre in Lax Lane, Bewdley.
