THE weather was ideal and the surroundings were perfectly idyllic for Bushley Fete last Saturday.
For the first time, this event was centred around the cricket pavilion, the stalls all shaded under the huge trees on the edge of the wood helping to make a cool haven.
There was plenty of room for skittles and games, all the children enjoying themselves in complete safety.
The fete was followed by a barbecue in the evening, everyone able to relax after a very busy day.
The proceeds of approximately £1,350 will be divided equally between the church and the village hall funds.
The monthly Whist Drive was held on Wednesday, June 27. Winners were:-
J Rusling, D Davies, A Pullen, N Green, A Peters, M Russell, G Quiney, R Baxter, T Jeynes, R Pullen, J Skirten, F Jeffreys.
Mr Don Warren was the MC.
The next Whist Drive will be held in the Village Hall on Wednesday, July 25 at 8pm.
Please Note - There will be no Whist Drive during August.
