CONGRATULATIONS to Oliver Woodward of Colletts Green on gaining a First Class BA Honours Degree in Education with Maths at the University of Exeter, after four years of study.
Oliver, a past pupil of Powick Primary School and the Chase High School, Malvern, was also awarded Teacher of the Year at the University.
Congratulations to father and son, Alan and Bryan Craven of Colletts Green on being awarded Clubman of the Year as Saturday team manager (for Alan) and Player of the Year (Bryan) chosen by the Sunday Team's Manager. They were presented with their awards by Powick FC Vice-President Charlie Ellis at Willie Thorne's Snooker Club in Malvern at a special evening in June. Training for the new season starts at 6pm on Tuesday, July 17 at Powick FC Hospital Lane pitch. The club is looking for new players as well as a new team manager for their Sunday team. The Friends of Powick Primary School present a "Fun For All" afternoon, for young and old on Saturday, July 14 at 3.30pm. There will be five-a-side football, face painting, string games and a Treasure Hunt on foot starting at the School grounds. Tickets are £5 per family. On Sunday, July 8 and Sunday, July 29 there will be extra Book Fairs in Powick Parish Hall from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Entry is free, and refreshments are available.

Sarah was a pupil at Powick Primary School and the Chase High School, Malvern, and takes up a teaching post at Bosbury (Herefordshire) in September.
