MALVERN Special Olympics group is looking for financial and voluntary assistance to help members celebrate its 10th anniversary in style this year.
The Malvern group, which is part of the Worcestershire branch of the international Special Olympics organisation, trains on Thursday evenings at the Social Education Centre in Geraldine Road.
The group includes about 15 adults with disabilities, who practise running, throwing, long jump, tunnel ball and rounders.
"We go to athletics meetings at Bromsgrove, Cannock and the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, and our members have had quite a lot of success," said organiser Louise Jelley.
"For our anniversary we want to have our own special event at The Chase on September 2.
"It will probably be a Fun Day. We would like to be able to hire a bouncy castle and buy some commemorative medals but we don't have any funds."
Anyone willing to sponsor the event, or help by putting on stalls and sideshows should contact Louise on 01684 574720 or Jeanette Tudge on 01684 566866.
