WORCESTER Rowing Club are left to uphold local honour at Henley Royal Regatta.
Their coxless four reached the quarter-finals of the Visitors Cup yesterday with a 1-length victory over Dutch crew DSR Proteus-Eretes, in a race that had to be re-rowed.
The crew, who won the Wyfold Cup last year, were due to face the combined Cambridge University and Black Sheep RC crew in the quarter-finals today.
Hereford Rowing Club's two competing crews were both knocked out.
They lost by four lengths to host club Henley in the second round of the Wyfold Cup, while they went down by 2 lengths to the Neptune club from Ireland in the Thames Cup.
