WORCESTER City boss John Barton has been dealt a blow after losing the race to sign a striker to bring to St George's Lane.
The player in question, believed to be Clevedon Town front man Paul Milsom, has elected to move to Bath City instead and Barton must look elsewhere.
Worcester director, Dave Boddy, revealed the move had fallen through. "John has been tracking him since the back end of the season, but the player has chosen to go elsewhere," he said.
"He was disappointed because he told John he wanted to come to St George's Lane but he has decided to join a fellow club in our league.
"John is now turning looking at various other options."
