A NEWLY-formed group of elite young musicians from the Malvern area performs for the first time next weekend.
Bravura is a string ensemble formed by teacher Janet Masters, comprising 19 young musicians aged from 13 to 20.
On Sunday, July 15 they will perform a series of works for string orchestra at the Wyastone Concert Hall in the Wye Valley.
The group has been in rehearsal since February at the Downs School, Colwall, and will perform a programme including Grieg's Holberg Suite and Bach's Concerto in D Minor for Piano and Orchestra, featuring nine-year-old prodigy Oliver Poole on the keyboard.
Vivaldi's Concerto for Four Violins and Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony are also on the bill.
Ms Masters said she hopes that the group will continue to grow and has plans to tour with them in Latvia next year.
The concert begins at 2.30pm and visitors are invited to arrive early and picnic in the scenic grounds before the concert. Tickets are £5, available from the box office on 01684 560696.
