THE Cheltenham International Festival of Music continues with a wide range of recitals.
Highlights include Sir Colin Davis conducting the BBC Singers, the boys of Gloucester Cathedral Choir and an instrumental ensemble that includes cellist Steven Isserlis, for a performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion in Gloucester Cathedral. The performance is tonight (Friday) at 7pm. Tickets start at £4.
Tomorrow (Saturday) features the Nash Ensemble playing works by Prokofiev, Ravel, Holt and Mozart in the Pittville Pump Room, starting at 11am. Tickets start at £9.
Sunday (July 8) features a varied programme from percussionists Colin Currie and Sam Walton. The event will be audience interactive, with opportunities to join in and ask questions from 3pm in the Town Hall. Tickets are £5, and half price for the under 25s.
Monday (July 9) sees cellist Steven Isserlis return with musicians from Prussia Cove with music from Boccherini, Villa-Lobos and others at 11am in the Pittville Pump Room. Tickets start at £8.
On Tuesday (July 10), pianist Boris Berezovsky will perform works by Ravel, Crumb and Lizst at 7.30pm in the Town Hall. Tickets start at £8.
The UK premiere of Steve Reich's Triple Quartet heads the programme from The Smith Quartet on Wednesday (July 11) in the Pitville Pump Room at 7.30pm. Tickets start at £9, available from the box office on 01242 227979.
