THE English Symphony Orchestra takes to the open air at Sudeley Castle on Saturday, July 14, for a Night at the Proms.
Organised by the Civil Service Motoring Association, it is part of the celebrations for the orchestra's 21st anniversary.
A rousing first half will include Eric Coates' Dambusters March, The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Dukas, Czardas from Strauss's Die Fledermaus and Walton's Spitfire Prelude and Fugue, accompanied by a flypast of Spitfires.
The second half will be introduced by Sousa's Liberty Bell March and then lead into favourites such as Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance No 1, Parry's Jerusalem and Arne's Rule Britannia.
The music wil be accompanied by a spectacular display of fireworks and dramatic laser show.
There will also be a display of classic cars on the approach to the castle with patrons being invited to bring their own classics.
The concert is at 7.30pm and gates open at 5.30pm. Tickets are £18 in advance or £23 on the day. Children are £5 in advance or £7 on the day. The hotline is 01273 744724.
