THE second round of the Malvern United Angling Association Wednesday night Sandford Series was well attended due to the recent good form the Club's pool had shown and once again members were not disappointed.
Leading the way once again was carp expert Paul Bick who is continuing to dominate the series. Drawn on Peg One Paul used pole tactics with luncheon meat on the hooks, despite losing several fish in the far bank reeds, Paul put a very useful 37-4-0 of carp onto the scales to make it two out of two in the series.
Richard Webster repeated his second place effort of last week by taking the runners up spot once again. Drawn on Island Peg 23 Richard employed pole tactics to land a level 25-0-0 of carp.
Third position went to Mike Spragg who fished the near side margins on Peg 14 for 19-1-0 of carp on the pole.
John Barr completed the frame with 17-2-0 from Peg Two, John included a fine 6-2-0 carp in his pole caught haul.
IMPORTANT NEWS: The club has received the go ahead to resume fishing the stretch of the River Severn, but only on the understanding that at the moment members MUST NOT DRIVE up to the stretch but walk from the bottom of the lane. Any changes will be advised of.
The next contest is the Club Cup this Sunday, July 8 on the pool, draw 7.15am, fish 8am-12.30pm.
