WHO would you choose if asked to select 100 'greats' who have played for Worcestershire?
It's a difficult task and one which is certain to provoke a vast range of candidates.
Life-long County supporter Les Hatton (pictured below), however, has compiled his choice -- and it takes some beating!
All 100 of them make up his latest absorbing book entitled '100 Greats - Worcestershire County Cricket Club'.
Without giving too much away about Les' choice, his list provides a marvellous trip down memory lane for Worcestershire supporters.
An interesting test would be to write down your 100 'greats' - and then buy the book to see how they compare with those players who take their place in the 128-page publication.
Just to make it 'slightly' easier one name that is included is former New Road captain Tim Curtis, who has written the foreward to the book.
He says: "Worcestershire is a wonderful county with a proud history and this book stands as a fitting tribute to the players who have shaped that history."
Text about each chosen player is accompanied by statistical details to enhance a thoroughly good read for all County followers.
'100 Greats - Worcestershire County Cricket Club', priced £12, is published by Tempus Publishing, The Mill, Brimscombe Port, Stroud, Gloucestershire, CL5 2QG -
