IT could be music to the ears of punters if Musical Heath lands another impressive win at Lingfield tomorrow.

The gelding's trainer Peter Harris will be hoping for something to sing about in the £10,000-added C & H Hauliers Stakes (Showcase Handicap) at the Surrey course.

The four-year-old was a good 10-1 winner at Epsom in July when scoring by three-quarters of a length over Must Be Magic.

Musical Heath made all the running over an extended mile and, after dictating the pace throughout, still had enough up his sleeve to hold off the challenge of the runner-up.

He also won a maiden race over the same course and distance during another visit to the home of the Derby in the autumn of last year.

The tough gelding gave the impression that he would be suited by a slightly shorter trip and will have that in tomorrow's distance of seven and a half furlongs.

Consistent Rob Leach could at last reap the reward for some battling efforts by taking the Bet Direct 'Today's Best Bets' Median Auction Stakes.

The four-year-old gelding, trained by Gary Moore, was beaten a length when second of 22 runners behind Flight Sequence in a small race at Windsor and followed that with a runner-up effort at Goodwood.

He was a 6-1 shot when staying on well in that event but had no chance with the winner, Finished Article, and went down by a length.

The Goodwood race was over an extended nine furlongs but Rob Leach looked as though he would appreciate a step up to tomorrow's distance of an extended mile and three furlongs.

At Leicester, Thirsk trainer David Nicholls could have sound chances with Rudi's Pet in the feature £10,000-added Racecourse Video Services Conditions Stakes.

The speedy seven-year-old ran in the controversial Tote Exacta Sprint at Epsom last month when the result was allowed to stand despite some of the stalls opening fractionally before the others.

Rudi's Pet raced alone in the centre and was the overall leader under Alex Greaves before weakening to finish 10th.

The gelding showed blistering speed from the one stall that day and, even though he was unable to keep up the gallop on the world's fastest five-furlong course, clearly has ability.

This looks a weaker affair and there can not be many people who do not know of the relish Nicholls shows for winning valuable speed tests like this.

Sir Michael Stoute could provide the answer to the European Breeders Fund Filbert Maiden Fillies' Stakes with his promising Aglow.

The two-year-old filly is well thought-of by the Newmarket stable and showed definite signs of ability when finishing second on her debut at Folkestone last month.

She was 5-1 second favourite when going under to a Paul Cole-trained odds-on hotpot in Bells For Marlin, who had been second on her previous outing.

Aglow showed signs of greenness and was beaten two and a half lengths by the favourite that day.

She will clearly have learned a lot and punters can reap the benefit of that valuable experience here.

Stoute could also have a winner with Gallant Boy in the EBF Rempstone Maiden Stakes.

The two-year-old colt was a beaten favourite when showing signs of inexperience when third in a maiden race at Newmarket on his debut.

He showed plenty of dash that day and, with better luck in running, can recoup losses in this easier race.

Mirafiori can supplement his recent victory by taking the Rancliffe Selling Nursery.

He was a shock 66-1 winner at Folkestone when holding on by a neck over this mile trip and may be able to prove that victory was no fluke.
