WORCESTER businessmen and women who are looking to invest in up-and-coming projects may be interested in attending an "investment fair" in Birmingham.
Aimed at individual investors and corporate venturers, the event will showcase around a dozen fledgling, fast-track businesses looking for development funds.
Projects featured will range from a new concept in Asian snacks, a sports statistics service, environmental waste disposal and innovations in technological communications.
"Rather than a formal presentation event, we decided to host a much more relaxed occasion where entrepreneurs looking for investment could show their wares, discuss their proposals in detail and meet a good number of potential investors," said Bob Barnsley, chief executive of Investor Champions, which is organising the event.
Investor Champions, based in Birmingham, is one of the country's leading "business angel" networks, promoting more than 130 projects and raising over £3.5m for 27 ventures since 1995.
The investment fair is due to be held tomorrow at the Burlington Hotel, New Street, Birmingham, from 2pm to 8pm.
Contact Louise Barnsley for an invitation on 0121 643 8898 or e-mail louise.barnsley@investor champions.com
