A WORCESTER primary school will soon be in top form when an extra classroom block is built.
City councillors have granted planning permission to St Clements CE Primary to extend its premises, despite initial worries that the new block could encourage an increase in traffic.
"The issue of objection was on traffic but I'm told the development will have no increase in the number of teachers and pupils," said Peter Yates, principal planning officer for Worcester City Council.
Three new classrooms are to be linked by a bridge to the main school building.
Parking and access improvements will be made to the school in Henwick Road, although no increase in parking is proposed.
Permission was granted by the planning committee.
