Steve Warburton has been crowned the Club Formula Palmer Audi champion.
The 12-race, one-make series concluded with two, 15-lap races at Snetterton in Norfolk. The 26-year-old from Leigh Sinton, near Malvern, started from third on the 17-car grid for both races and went on to post fifth and first positions.
Such has been Warburton's pace this season that the fifth place represented his lowest finish of the year having finished all 12 races -- 10 inside the top-three.
Warburton had three victories to finish 46 points clear of his nearest rival, in a series which features 150mph purpose-built single-seater cars powered by 1.8-litre turbocharged Audi engines.
