A TAXI driver who was a key witness to a serious sexual assault in Hereford has now come forward.
Following an intensive search by detectives and widespread publicity in the local media, the driver who transported the couple from outside the Crystal Rooms on Bridge Street to Belmont telephoned the police station.
The attack was carried out in the Abbots Mead Road area of Belmont on Saturday, September 15.
Francini Robinson, aged 19, from Hereford is charged with an offence of rape. He has been remanded in custody and is awaiting trial.
