TOWN war veterans are soldiering on with preparations to remember brave residents who lost their lives in battle.
Droitwich Royal British Legion, based in Salwarpe Road, is gearing up for this year's Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Sunday on November 11.
Last year, the appeal raised £9,000 in the Spa, and more than £20m nationally.
Droitwich Poppy Appeal organiser Roy Hewlett is aiming to topple that amount.
He needs helpers to hit the streets of the Spa on Friday November 9 or Saturday November 10, and carry out street collections.
He is also seeking a kind sponsor who can photocopy 1,500 hymn sheets for the Remembrance Sunday par-ade.
Anyone who can help, should call Mr Hewlett on (01905) 774130.
