THE curtains are due to open on one of Britain's classic comedies at the Swan Theatre in Worcester.
The Government Inspector, by Nicholai Gogol, is being performed by the theatre's own company which is busy rehearsing for the opening night.
The action takes place in a small town - far from any capital city - where everything is ticking along in a corrupt fashion.
However, this comes to an abrupt halt when a letter is opened announcing the impending visit of an inspector.
Panic then spreads around the town. Tickets for the show, which runs from Wednesday, October 24 to Saturday, October 27, cost £4.
