COMMUNITY-SPIRITED re-sidents have received awards for creating horticultural masterpieces.
The winners of Droitwich Spa in Bloom 2001 have scooped top prizes from the competition's organiser Droit-wich Spa Town Council.
Albert Farr, of Winslow Avenue, scooped two first places.
Judges were wowed by his entries in the best hanging basket (domestic) and the best kept garden classes.
The 70-year-old said: "I've never done anything like this before -- my daughter entered me in the contest.
"I'm very proud that the judges liked my work."
The best community floral display title was shared by residents in Miller Street and Copcut Court. Peter Jinks, of the Spinning Wheel, St Andrew's Street, won the best hanging basket (domestic) category and the best floral display at a commercial premises.
