A musical event of unusual interest will be the visit to Redditch Baptist Church next Thursday of Foden's Motor Works Band, holders of the British Brass Band Championship.
Next weekend they will be defending their title at the annual contest at the Albert Hall and they are visiting Redditch en route to London.
Included in the programme is the test piece they will be playing at the Albert Hall - Percy Fletcher's 'Epic Symphony'.
Other items are Finlaridia (Sibelius), The Egmont Overture (Beethoven), the first movement of the unfinished Symphony in B minor (Schubert) and excerpts from "The Mikado".
