THE last show of the 2001 series was held at All Saints' Hall, in Burcot Lane on September 29.

The judge was Peter Swinburn, from Stratford. Seventy one dogs had entered and he chose his best in show and best puppy, a local dog owned by Mr and Mrs Campion, Halistons Hectique, a petit basset griffon vendeen, aged nine months. Reserve was a bichon frise owned by Mr and Mrs Stanley, from King's Heath. Reserve best puppy was Mrs Talbot's bull-mastiff bitch.

Other local winners from Bromsgrove were Mr and Mrs Beeston's cocker spaniel, second gundog novice, Mrs Elliotts' pointers, first and second setter/pointer open, first gundog open, second not bred by exhibitor.

Winners from Redditch were Mrs Corbe's Shetland sheepdog second minor puppy bitch, third maiden, second special beginners, Mrs Summers' German shepherd dogs first junior, first working, second bred by exhibitor, Mrs Kyffin-Royle's toy poodle second utility open, first post graduate, first not bred by exhibitor.

Winners from Rubery were Miss Jowett's shihtzu second puppy bitch, Mrs Pain's cocker spaniel second puppy dog, and, from Barnt Green, Mrs Rose's English springer spaniels first veteran and cocker spaniel second cocker open.
