REDDITCH were knocked out of the Intermediate Cup at the second round but captain Mark Rose says the league defeat to the same opposition a week earlier smarts more.
After a 38-12 battering in the league at Edwardians, the Kingfishers made the same trip in the cup only to lose 13-9.
Rose is hoping to return to the side for his first match of the season at Bishop's Castle in the league on Saturday (ko 3pm).
The skipper has been ruled out by a leg injury for the start of the North Midlands One season but has pencilled in Saturday for a return along with second rows Stan Hall and Gary Carter.
Wil Wilson kicked three penalties for Redditch at the weekend and Paul Barnet was Man of the Match for the Bromsgrove Road side.
