FAIRFIELD entertained Cadbury at the Victoria Ground on Saturday. The game started in ideal conditions and it was the home side who did the early pressing.
It needed visiting keeper Chris Gibbon to be in fine form to keep the scores level.
As the half progressed it needed a good save from home keeper Ken Sanders to prevent James Gregory from scoring.
In the second half it was Villa who did the majority of the attacking but the visitors always looked dangerous on the break.
As the game went on it looked likely that extra-time would be needed but five minutes from the end Villa took the lead when Ian Brown headed home.
In the final minute Villa went two up when J Gregory turned the ball into his own goal when under pressure from Junior McKeon.
