TOWN opened with all guns blazing despite a sorely depleted team, but squandered a number of early chances.
Town were thwarted when keeper Craig Gourley tipped a superb Dave Plowman header over the bar when a goal seemed certain.
Despite not hitting the net, Town were creating chances, a feature of their game sadly lacking in recent weeks.
Commitment was increased and for the first 25 minutes the Worcester Premier side were not in it.
Town then got sloppy with their passing and allowed House back into the game. House's left winger always looked dangerous and former Bromsgrove Rovers player Steve Cooper still had a nice touch on the ball.
Town rallied and scored right on half time when Gary Morgan hit a ferocious drive past the sprawling Gourley.
As expected the visitors pressed after the break and from a left wing corner Jon Fowles rose above Town's defence to head the equaliser.
Town withstood a period of pressure but the defence of Joe Newbold, Lee Crawford and Adam Pincher, well-marshalled by Pincher, stood firm.
Town upped the tempo midway through the half and a typically surging 50-yard run by Stuart Eades was finished off when he unleashed a lethal drive low into the far corner.
Town had to back pedal for much of the remainder of the game, but robust defending, particularly from Pincher and Newbold, saw them home. Northwick Swans entertain Town in the next round on November 4.
