MALVERN were expected to put up a good fight.
Bromsgrove, however, were in good spirits and not prepared to give up their winning ways.
The game began at a frenetic pace with Bromsgrove shading the early exchanges.
Their determination paid off a quarter of the way through the first half when Louise Clarke turned in a short corner to put Bromsgrove into a deserved lead.
With one in the bag they stepped up a gear.
Their hard work was rewarded with a second goal when Jules Crawford collected a pass and hit a ferocious shot past the helpless Malvern goalkeeper.
Shortly afterwards, Sarah Gormley got the ball into the back of the net but it was disallowed. Towards the end of the first half a pinpoint free hit from Lorraine Murphy found player of the match Mo Fitzgerald who rounded off a textbook move by slotting the ball past the Malvern defenders.
The second half was a hard fought affair. Both sides had chances but Malvern struck with two goals. Bromsgrove created more than their fair share of chances and towards the end were the side likely to score.
