YOUNGSTERS from around Bromsgrove swapped their pencils for trowels this week when they took part in National Construction Week, being held at one of the town's museums.
Children of all ages from more than 20 schools in Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas will have visited Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings by the end of the event which began on Monday (October 15) and is set to run until the end of the week.
The pupils visited the Stoke Heath museum to take part in architecture planning, estimating and surveying and had a helping hand from workers at Weaver PLC Construction Group in Worcester Road.
Amongst the children were pupils from Millfields First School in Swift Close. Speaking to the Advertiser/Messenger, deputy headteacher Rachel Hughes said: "The children had a wonderful day and really enjoyed themselves."
