LEGS 11 rider Kelvin Reilly is hoping to put pen to paper on a contract to ride for the Redditch-based team next season.

Reilly wants to tie up the deal at the weekend despite a disappointing final outing at Donington.

A soft tyre compound in the only qualifying session failed to last and saw Reilly slip from 12th on the grid to 32nd in the final ten minutes.

But, undeterred, the Wimbledon ace climbed to 18th only for the engine to overheat as he limped in 24th.

ANDY Tinsley fared little better with a disappointing 13th position.

The Astwood Bank speedster finished sixth in the Superstocks championship last season but a finish outside the top ten at the weekend consigned him to 14th overall.

The Tin Man's gamble in a fog-hit meeting backfired.

Tinsley had only one qualifying session on Saturday because of fog in the morning and qualified 16th on a 40 man grid.

And he selected a soft compound tyre in a bid to gain an early advantage but failed to make enough ground before the tyre was past its best on lap five of a fifteen lap race.
