REDDITCH Regals' unbelievable winning run finally came to an end on Sunday with their first league defeat for almost three seasons.

Successive titles have been won on the back of a perfect winning streak but the ladies team came unstuck in a 58-51 overtime loss at Atherstone.

The Regals have added former Shropshire, Quality Cats and Dudley shooting guard Davida Dockery to their ranks together with former Birmingham Ladies off guard Claire Cale.

The reigning champions had started the season with business as usual in a 30 point win over Buccaneers.

But now the ladies have a gap without league action for the rest of the month.

REDDITCH Regents could be poised to add a couple of foreign signings after two defeats in their opening three games.

Polish small forward Mike Zaremba is set to join along with an unnamed 6ft 5in centre.

Former players Danny Joseph and Jeff Forest have returned but the club have lost centre Andy Swift to the University of Maine, USA.

Regents started the season with back-to-back losses to Kings, by 20 points and Warley by seven points.

But the Warley match was an improvement after Regents were on the receiving end of a 60 point thrashing to the same opponents last season.

And the Redditch side finally hit winning ways with a five point overtime win over Smiths Wood.

Regents return to action at Bloxwich side Pro-Guard on Friday (tip-off 8.30pm) and entertain Aston University on Sunday (tip-off 8.15pm).
