AN innovative project to help Batchley people get on the information super-highway has been given a £30,000 boost, writes julian Seva.
The Batchley Information and Communications Technology Partnership is being set up by NEW College and other agencies including the council, Salters Lane Action Project, The Batchley Alliance and Redditch Play Council.
Computers, based at Batchley First School, will allow residents to learn how to use new technology and give them access to both the Internet and information about the area.
Another four satellite centres with laptop computers will also increase participation.
The cash formed part of a £2m Lottery handout to Midlands bodies from the New Opportunities Fund.
