TWO goals struck in four second half minutes secured a hard-fought victory for Kings Heath, writes Ann Wheeldon.

Strikes by skipper Mick Burton and Ashley Galbraith saw the side two up against a ragged County Sports.

Despite a spell of late pressure which saw the hosts pull one back the Kingsmen battled to the end to secure a well-deserved three points.

Both teams struggled to master the windy conditions keepeing chances at a premium.

The best of the half fell to Kings on 29 minutes after a Sports defensive error left James Miah one-on-one but his waist high strike proved no problem for Jon Norris.

The breakthrough for Heath finally came 20 minutes from time when Burton, who started the move on teh half-way line, slid a low shot under the keeper.

The lead was compounded on 74 minutes when Lee Brosnan sprang the offside trap and cut the ball sharply back across the box for Galbraith to clinically finish.

Sports clawed a goal back five minutes from the end when Carl Fairhurst got on the wrong side of Colin Campbell and tucked one away.

In an eventful finish Sports pushed for an equaliser to no avail and their comeback hopes died when captain Carl Hobbs was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
