THREE new potential members came to the first taster course meeting.
The evening was chaired by Jim Fitzpatrick, who introduced two educational talks.
Hazel Bradley gave a talk entitled Speech Construction and there were speeches on Mean What You Say.
These were followed by demostration speeches by Pat Langley and Pat Mortimer.Both speeches were then evaluated by Hazel Bradley and Roger Jauncey and Pam Nicholls gave personal views on how the club can help to build confidence in public speaking.
A team from the club took part in an area competition and were runners-up to Sans Souci Speakers Club.
