JON Ford drilled home a 90th minute penalty as Rovers took three valuable points away from Noose Lane last night.
The giant central defender converted the last minute spot-kick after Gordon Lynch had been upended by Aaron Skelding.
Rovers had earlier taken a ninth minute lead when Richard Kavanagh produced a superb diving header at the back post off Frazer McHugh's corner, leaving keeper Nathan Vaughan with no chance.
Willenhall came back at Rovers and were level after half an hour when second-choice keeper Jimmy McGettrick clattered Paul Bishop with the front man through on goal.
Willenhall captain Russ Brown converted the subsequent penalty.
Left wing-back Paul Lloyd, who along with Chris Porter was outstanding, handed Rovers the lead just before the break.
Pint-sized Lloyd chased a pass he was never meant to reach and Town defender Skelding cannoned the ball straight into him. The rebound fell into Stuart Payne's path and he finished with a low drive under Vaughan for his first goal for his new club.
Bromsgrove, with McHugh instrumental, dominated much of the second half but struggled to break down Willenhall's stubborn rearguard -- until Ford wrapped it up.
Rovers: McGettrick, Porter, Lloyd, Brookes, Pope, Ford, Licata (sub Lynch 64 mins), McHugh, Bowen (sub Banner 90 mins), Payne, Kavanagh.
Rovers man of the match: Chris Porter.
Attendance: 160.
