BENGEWORTH parish church is to host a concert by Philomusica - the choral group drawn from across Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
On the bill on Saturday is Elgar's The Kingdom, starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets at £5 and £4 will be available on the door.
Philomusica, which is appealing for more members, entertains audiences locally and further afield including Europe and the USA.
Singers come from a wide area encompassing the two counties and beyond to blend their voices into the special Philomusica sound they are so well-known for.
The society normally uses singers from within the group for soloists parts offering them unique opportunities.
Internationally acclaimed tenor John Mitchinson, the society's vice-president, has also sung with them as a guest soloist - most notably in Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius.
Concerts regularly take place at the abbeys in Pershore and Tewkesbury, in cathedrals, and small churches and schools.
Anyone interested in becoming a member of the society is urged to contact David Parsons on 07000 155551 or 01452 385524, or visit www.philomusica.org.uk
The group especially needs basses and altos but sopranos and tenors are also welcome.
