THE firm accused of incompetence in organising a public consultation to assess Stourport's need for a relief road has set a new date for the event.
Birmingham-based independent experts Halcrow Group's previous "surgery" day in the town was poorly attended because of an administrative mix-up, leading to criticism from Stourport Town Centre Management Forum.
Halcrow was given £80,000 to complete the transportation study by Worcestershire County Council, and it pledged to consult with forum, police and businesses.
However, very few members of the public attended the exhibition at Stourport Civic Centre because of the publicity error.
The surgery has been rearranged to be held at the same venue on Friday, November 2 between 2-8pm. For further details visit the firm's website at www.halcrow.com
