EX-Kidderminster Harrier Matt Beard was man of the match on his return but could not inspire Wyre Forest to beat Lye Town Reserves on Saturday.
The West Midlands Division One South fixture ended goal-less despite Forest dominating long periods of the first half without penetrating the defence.
Forest were closest to scoring when Beard's 25-yard shot was well saved by Morris.
The second half saw both sides create and Darren Pace pulled off a superb save in the 56th minute to deny Jason Wyke.
Forest should have taken the lead when Andy Oakes was put clean through but his shot had no power and Morris easily saved.
Richard Costello's last-ditch tackle denied Andy Goyer a shot at goal.
Beard tainted an impressive first game back with a booking.
Fixture, Saturday: Malvern Ramblers v Wyre Forest (2.45pm, players meet at The Horsefair Caf at 12.30pm).
