KING Edward Sixth Grammar School pupil Damian Storey is playing the title role in The Winslow Boy at the Talisman Theatre, Kenilworth, this week.
The 12-year-old, whose previous acting credits include the Ibsen's Little Eyolf at the Swan Theatre, in which alternated with the son of Oscar-winning actor Ben Kingsley in the title role, will take to the stage in the Terence Rattigan classic for six nights starting next Monday.
Bob Teers of Talisman said Damian, who lives in Sherbourne, near Warwick, beat off stiff competition from 11 other boys for the part of Ronnie Winslow, the naval cadet accused of stealing a postal order.
"He is very talented and very confident," said Mr Teers, who revealed that Damian's ambition is to study English and Drama at Cambridge.
