Village School: Offenham Village School played host to a dramatic 'Whodunit' evening on Saturday, with around 70 witnesses pitting their sleuthing skills against a team of suspects and raising nearly £300 to support the school. "Each year we manage to raise around £4,000 through a full calendar of events like this, and with the considerable combined efforts of parents and school staff" said Leighton Jones of the Offenham School Supporters Association. "We use the funds to help the school with special projects. Last year we developed a garden and play-den for the younger children, which they use for play and for educational work like storytelling and literacy. We also donated a thousand pounds for books for the school library" he added. OSSA's next event, on November 15, is a craft fair which will have around 25 stalls covering everything from woodwork, tapestries and cards to books and jewellery.
